doch nur wenige hinterlassen Spuren im Herzen.

I’m shocked. Deeply shocked and disgusted. All I did was playing some seemingly harmless online game, something potentially billions of children could be doing too! But this Winnie the Pooh game by Disney is just outrageous:

And Disney goes even further with their shameless masquerade:

F sound, yeah sure.
I demand Disney to 1) remove their game IMMEDIATELY and 2) apologise PUBLICLY to all parents, children and all other hard-working, god-loving Winnie the Pooh lovers!
[Update 11-Oct-2006] It’s also nice to listen to the speaker’s pronunciation of ‘r’.

Man is born free. Yet soon his freedom is restricted and channelled by outside forces. One of these elements is religion, which gets predetermined on children. I shall not discuss the effects of this, or the probable good intentions behind it; I shall just acknowledge it for now.
As I’ve grown older, my relation to religion has become more and more problematic. Today, at another milestone of a long ongoing process of thoughts, I know my stance. I have an agnostic position concerning the scientific possibility of proving God’s in- or existence; that’s matter. I do not believe in God, or any higher being; that’s conscious (dis)belief.
I do, however, not condemn religion. I acknowledge that religion can give strength to people, that religion can help people to cope better with their problems. But I also acknowledge that religion, especially in organised forms, can lead to fundamentalism, that religion can abuse people, that religion can tamper with society’s freedoms.
I treat religions as philosophical ways, as well as earthly organisations. This helps me to differentiate between the many philosophical and human aspects religion has - which are quite interesting - and the more historical and political bodies these movements have created.
Anyway, it didn’t feel right to be still a member of a religious denomination (which here in Switzerland one becomes automatically as a child through the act of being baptised), and thus I resigned. This was an important philosophical step for me, one which makes me officially ‘undenominational’ (German: Konfessionslos). Free at last.

[Note: Yay, some long overdue updates! More to follow shortly]
I already moved into my new room some months ago, but wasn’t able to really settle down until now. The room is nice and much bigger than the old one. Living directly under the roof of our house, I felt compelled to add a reference to the famous and influential Rockmaster Scott And The Dynamic Three song, the roof is one fire. As almost everything is where it should be, I thought I’d let everyone know about some cool new stuff I’ve bought:
Arrr, can’t sleep, matey? Fear not me hearty! This mighty pirate flag besides my bed helps you, aarrr:
Speaking about flags, I also finally found some use for my Olympic flag, which I obtained during my stay in Greece. When we visited Athens in 2004, the Olympic Games were already over but this soon to be ours flag still hung happily on a fence encircling a Olympic stadium. We then cut off seized took somehow magically possessed this flag. Because of its size (the flag is more than three metres long), I wasn’t able to find a good spot for it, until now:
Because I probably tick differently than many other people, my new clock had to reflect this part of me:

Backwards Running Clock
During my vacations in the Czech Republics I had a fruit tea which was so good I kept the wrapping. The tea is made by the German company Ronnefeldt, and, thanks to the Internet, I was able to buy a good selection from a lovely shop in Berlin. My delivery arrived a few days later:
One thing I really like about ‘living under the roof’ (not to be confused with ‘living under the bridge’) are the background sounds I get when it rains or when it’s windy. And the birds’ twitter, of course.
